About Prairie Dropseed

Prairie Dropseed is a perennial, warm season, native bunchgrass that grows well in full sun and drier soils. It is an extremely low maintenance plant that can be used in mixes with other native grasses. The globe-type seed head and long wispy leaves make it very eye catching in a landscape setting with other native grasses and wildflowers. Spacing plants 1-2 ft. apart in a row can also make a natural border.

Plant in spring.
