Leadplant is a shrubby legume that is named for the color of its leaves. It has small purple flowers clustered together in four to six inch spikes atop the robust two to three foot stems. Adapted to a wide area of the central U.S., this slow growing plant has an extensive root system. This perennial flower blooms June through August. One packet contains 6 grams.
