A good forage base is one of the components necessary to attract and hold deer. Others include a grain base, a tree and shrub area, and a good water supply. This mix of high protein forages will provide grazing into summer months when needed for weight gain and antler growth. These plants also provide forage and brood cover for wild turkeys.
Plant in spring or late summer near one or more of the above areas for best results. This mix is best suited for well-drained soils and will also provide good erosion control.
