About Soft Rush
Soft or "Common" Rush is a perennial, native bunch-type species with dark green foliage and brown flowers. It has good seedling vigor and prefers full sun. It has some drought tolerance, but performs best in the moist soils or standing water of floodplains, wet meadows, swamps, and shorelines. The main uses of this plant is habitat for small song birds and waterfowl.
