Ladino Clover
Trifolium repens
High yielding variegated clover with great vitamin, mineral, and protein content
About Ladino Clover
Ladino clover is very winter hardy and prefers well drained silt loam and clay soils with a pH of 6-7. It will not thrive in saline or alkaline soils. It spreads by surface runners with roots growing down from each node. Ladino is also good for soil building alone or in a legume mix. It is generally produced for hay or haylage. It is also used in many habitat mixes, offering a quality forage alone or in mixtures with other legumes and grasses. This nutritious legume is credited with improved antler development of deer as well as providing a good pollinator plant for bees.
